PROGRAM DETAILS
The Minimum Data Set can and should be the nursing home's most powerful
clinical management tool. It is integrally important for compliance and positive
survey performance and provides the basis for care planning, outcomes
measurement and reimbursement accuracy. Properly executed and implemented, the
MDS can be instrumental in achieving continuous quality improvement while, at
the same time, optimizing PPS, coding and RUGs decisions. It further provides
important documentation for the prevention of fraud, abuse and other legal
problems.
This seminar is designed to help you improve your skills from initial MDS
completion to actual application of the data. The instructor will focus on the
most complex and misunderstood aspects of MDS completion and will demonstrate
practical and useful techniques in managing the entire process. You can look
forward to an enlightening six hours of valuable instruction.
