PROGRAM DETAILS
The Massage Therapist is often confronted with clients that present soft tissue injuries from athletic activities. They want to know what they should do about the injury, if they should stop their activity or sport, see a doctor, self treat, leave it alone, use ice or heat and a myriad of other questions concerning their dilemma.
This one-day seminar will address all of those concerns. Participants will learn how to evaluate an injury within the scope of a massage practice, when to refer out and what specific massage techniques are beneficial to use depending on the injury.
You'll also come to understand which techniques are contraindicated, when to apply ice or heat and other valuable suggestions and plans of action. The common myths of injury will be clearly addressed as well, presented with the latest findings and research.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
HOWARD D´JANGO SANDERS, LMT, RMT, is a nationally certified Massage Therapist through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. He is also licensed and certified in the states of Texas and New Mexico. Mr. Sanders currently runs his own private practice as a Massage Therapist in Corpus Christi, Texas and has been practicing for the last 24 years. He graduated from the Texas School of Massage Studies in Austin, Texas in 1984 after receiving his Bachelors of Science in Geology from Brooklyn College in New York. Mr. Sanders has also studied at the Core Institute in Tallahassee, Florida, as well as the Muscle Therapy Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association and is also a national provider through the NCBTMB. He has been an instructor in various states and conferences, as well as an international instructor in Kabale, Uganda and Cape Town, South Africa. Mr. Sanders brings a wealth of knowledge and diverse background to this seminar!
