The impact of PPS on skilled nursing and subacute care reimbursement has been
significant. Claim delays, denials and adjustments are increasingly common due
to new coding and billing rules and CMS policy changes. A complete understanding
of the new Part A and B rules and their interpretation is critical to billing
compliance and receiving prompt and accurate reimbursement.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Judy Griffin, is a reimbursement analyst and compliance
consultant with over 25 years of health care experience. This experience
includes management assignments in skilled nursing, physician groups,
ambulatory surgery centers and hospitals. She has installed Medical
Billing Systems and DRG Systems in hospitals and outpatient/emergency
centers throughout the Midwest and was instrumental in developing the
electronic claims system for Blue Shield of Indiana. She also served as
their liaison with providers on matters relating to contracting fees,
billing, coding and claims problems. Ms. Griffin is a certified training
instructor and frequently lectures on reimbursement issues nationally.
She has been active with local and state health care associations as a
member and consultant and nationally with the "BONES" society and MGMA.
Ms. Griffin is both a very knowledgeable and skilled seminar instructor.
