Result-Based Therapy for Head, Neck and
Shoulder Pain
PROGRAM DETAILS
Over 34 million Americans are affected or limited by chronic pain conditions,
many related to head, neck and shoulder problems. Athletes and physically active
individuals are especially susceptible to injuries in these areas. Common
conditions, including migraine, whiplash, thoracic outlet syndrome, frozen
shoulder and temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ), produce physically and
financially devastating effects. Therapists and other professionals working with
individuals experiencing head, neck and shoulder pain need strategies to provide
relief from these conditions, as well as to understand the role of the
multidisciplinary team in helping clients recover. A variety of manual therapy
techniques are useful in treating injuries and pain conditions of the upper
extremity.
In this hands-on seminar you will learn the fundamentals of a result-based
approach to treatment of chronic pain and injuries of the upper extremity.
Participants will examine therapeutic techniques for assessment and treatment of
head, neck and shoulder issues. Extensive lab time will be allowed for
performing and perfecting neuromuscular, soft tissue and deep tissue techniques,
including muscle restore technique, trigger point therapy and myofascial
release. Working with an instructor with over 20 years of experience, you will
receive practical strategies for providing complete and comprehensive treatment.
This cross-over course is designed to benefit a variety of professions at
various levels of experience. You will leave with new skills you can immediately
use with clients experiencing chronic pain and dysfunction of the head, neck and
upper extremity.
