|Because this certification comes directly from Microsoft, it is recognized
internationally as a level of competency accepted and valued in the Information
Technology industry. The Microsoft® Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA)
credential is the premier certification for professionals who implement
and administer Microsoft SQL Server™ databases. The certification is appropriate
for individuals who derive physical database designs, develop logical data
models, create physical databases, create data services by using Transact-SQL,
manage and maintain databases, configure and manage security, monitor and

Microsoft Certified Database Administrator
This certification consists of four modules with one exam per module. The MCDBA
training program covers all four. Each of the four modules is covered individually
in this catalog. This course is taught to achieve two goals. Goal one is to teach
the necessary information to pass all four exams. Goal two is to give students
enough hands-on practice in each module so that the student can go into an interview
and the workplace with confidence knowing they have put into practice what they
have learned. Although it is extremely important to receive the certification,
it is every bit as important to know and have the hands-on practice and experience!
By earning the premier MCDBA credential, individuals are demonstrating that they
have the skills necessary to lead organizations in the successful design, implementation,
and administration of SQL Server version 2000.
Together with the instruction, labs, and hard work, the MCDBA is 100% achievable!
