Training Course Syllabus:

A one-day training designed to help Companies increase their employee's productivity by decreasing time spent dealing with virus infection, worms, adware popups, spyware and spam. We will share with you best practices to help protect your systems against viruses, worms and other security breaches which can be spread via spam. In addition, we will discuss backing up your systems and the importance of Internet usage policies for your firm.

Email-borne viruses and worms

Email-borne viruses and worms operate much the same way, except there are consequences, sometimes significant ones. Malicious email often contains a return address of someone we know and often has a provocative Subject line. This is social engineering at its finest – something we want to read from someone we know. Email viruses and worms are common. If you've not received one, chances are you will.

Why is dealing with spam important?
Companies nationwide are forced to deal with the issue of spam in the workplace. For example, between February and April 2003 alone, according to America Online (AOL), the maximum number of messages that spammers had lobbed toward the service's 35 million customers in a single day tripled to 2.4 billion. (Consumer Reports)

IT professionals are now linking spam as a way for countless viruses to spread thought a network. Nonprofit organizations need the tools and knowledge to deal with spam and protect themselves from the hazards it can create. With the right information to prevent spam, an effective spam prevention software package, and regular policies for backing up data, companies can do a lot to prevent damage across their organization.
