This course introduces students to the responsibilities of an OracleŽ database administrator (DBA). You will learn the underlying architecture of the Oracle database server and the essential tasks required to manage database installations such as how to start up and shut down an Oracle instance. You will also learn the components that comprise a database, practice creating a database, manage database objects, reorganize data, and implement security measures. Finally, you will learn how to troubleshoot real-life scenarios that could occur.This course will help you to prepare for Oracle's exam, Oracle9i Database: Fundamentals I (1Z0-031).
